Miele X is looking for a Project Portfolio Manager in our eCommerce department. The role is part of the eCommerce Portfolio and Project Management team, and is a crucial role in the successful management and alignment of the ecommerce portfolio of projects and initiatives in line with an agile-driven organization, as well as creating transparency into the status of portfolio delivery at all times. The Project Portfolio Manager will work with and advise a wide variety of stakeholders across all levels of the Miele X organization, including leadership, product management team and various ecommerce functional teams.

Your day-to-day job

  • Apply agile principles to support and advise on portfolio selection decisions by enabling informed decision-making (opportunity value /opportunity cost, strategic alignment, resource enablement, risk value).
  • Facilitate prioritization meetings, ensuring active participation, clear agenda, presenters are briefed, documentation is shared in advance, decisions are recorded and communicated.
  • Guide and support project and business owners with adequately defining and describing projects to enable prioritization.
  • Enable a single source of reporting of project statuses across the key organizational initiatives.
  • Monitor the expected and delivered value of the portfolio, progress against targets, and enable corrective actions to facilitate target delivery. Maintain the performance bridge model to support decision-making and value maximalization in overall business alignment.
  • Advise on portfolio balancing and risk management / mitigation, including alignment with OKR framework.
  • Support the OKR framework as it relates to agile portfolio management, by enabling the OKR definition and review process.
  • Agile portfolio governance.
  • Keep connected with all key stakeholders across the organization to keep a pulse on the delivery of priority projects, potential risks and issues, and impact across the project portfolio.
  • Maintain portfolio documentation, ensuring transparency and visibility across the organization.
  • Be an advocate for portfolio management as a change agent across the wider organization.
  • Drive the continuous development and communication of agile portfolio management processes and tools across the organization, in line with agile principles.

We are looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in a Business or Technology related field of study required.
  • Previous experience of program or project portfolio management within an agile context, with ability to keep oversight across a board spectrum of initiatives.
  • Knowledge of ecommerce and software development processes is a distinct advantage.
  • Good knowledge of agile processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, and focus on building long term working relationships with colleagues across the organization, ideally in corporate or complex international environments.
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision.
