Job overview

As our Senior UX/UI Designer you’ll be responsible for the customer journey and interaction design experience of the Miele digital platforms. You will be part of the digital Experience Design Team whose mission is to create a premium digital shopping experience. You will directly impact the digital brand expression and how customers interact with our website to drive the business impact.

You are comfortable in every stage of the design thinking process to continuously refine the user experience. This role has an end-to-end responsibility for design: from research, data analysis, ideating and prototyping to delivering and optimizing features.

Ideally you have a strong background in visual design and bring experience in motion design.

You have in-depth customer behaviour knowledge and understand how to develop responsive e-Commerce concepts. You are skilled in translating business complexities into intuitive user interfaces and work well with stakeholders. You are prepared to demonstrate your designs and challenge them with users, stakeholders, product specialists and developers to ensure your ideas are realised.

In our design team you are a strong team player and comfortable in challenging design solutions to elevate the design quality and contribute to improving our processes and the overall culture of the function.

We have a dynamic work environment where you will be working in agile scrum teams together with other disciplines. Therefore you are open to improving ways of working and process on a regular basis and bringing yourself into the conversation.

Your day-to-day job

  • Create customer-centric e-Commerce customer journeys and translate requirements into brand and product story
  • Design wireframes that consider all use cases and represent the premium brand
  • Bring in UI concepts and visual design skills (Ideally Motion experience) to contribute to the design system
  • Conduct Collaborative Design Thinking workshops to best understand the customer’s decision-making process
  • Help improve the UX process to raise the UX maturity
  • Create AB and Usability Tests to gain learnings, conduct competitor reviews and customer surveys, and monitor website data to gain insights for design decisions
  • Work in close collaboration with the Product Manager to define product experience through data, business insights and customer research
  • Basic understanding of quantitative and qualitative data analysis
  • Storytelling through design: you are able to manage your stakeholders by showcasing your designs to inspire, inform and educate the business

We are looking for

  • 5+ years’ experience as a full-stack product designer (from discovery to delivery, from UX to UI)
  • Digital design portfolio with e-Commerce experience
  • Foundational experience working for a premium brand in consumer or FMCG industry
  • Have a collaborative team spirit and always striving to learn new things
  • Experienced in agile ways of working
  • International mindset, and fluent business English
  • Excellent prototyping and design skills and a deep understanding of new software/web technologies
  • Have a customer-centric creative mindset and can review both qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions
  • Easy to adapt to changing / agile working environment who is open for change and improvement of ways of working
