Overall objective/Purpose of position

The UX Designer is responsible for the customer journey and front-end experience of the Miele digital platforms. They are part of the Digital UX/UI team whose mission is to create a premium digital shopping experience that drives sales.

Through design thinking activities, conducting usability & A/B tests, and studying data, they continuously refine the user experience. This role has an end-to-end responsibility for frontend design, from ideating and prototyping to delivering and optimizing features.

Your day-to-day job

Key responsibilities
 

  • Create customer-centric eCommerce customer journeys and translate requirements into brand and product story.
  • Design wireframes that consider all use cases and create UI assets for development.
  • Participate in Design Thinking workshops to best understand the customer’s decision-making process.
  • Create A/B tests to gain learnings, conduct competitor reviews and customer surveys, and monitor website data to gain insights for design decisions
  • Partner with Product Owners on features to continuously optimize the user experience, and collaborate closely with IT to ensure technical feasibility and performance.


Key performance measures for position
 

  • User engagement and satisfaction metrics (CES)
  • Revenue growth directly attributed to new product features or enhancements (Value Bridge contribution)
  • Efficiency of the product development process (time to delivery of new solutions).

We are looking for

Competencies/Skills for position
 

  • Ideally university degree in Design, Communications, Marketing, or have similar experience within a related field 3+ years’ experience in UX/UI design
  • Digital design portfolio with eCommerce experience
  • Foundational experience working for a premium brand in consumer or FMCG industry
  • Have a collaborative team spirit and always striving to learn new things
  • Experienced in agile ways of working 
  • International mindset, and fluent business English 
  • Excellent prototyping and design skills and a deep understanding of new software/web technologies 
  • Have a customer-centric creative mindset and can review both qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions
