Job overview

The mission of this role is being responsible for driving online sales and delivering a best-in-class customer experience by ensuring that products are correctly displayed, accurately described, and easily discoverable across the direct Miele eCommerce webshops. You will collaborate closely with various teams including different countries where Miele operates, business units and marketing to ensure products are available, well-presented, and optimized for conversion across the website.

What success looks like in 2 years:

  • Successfully supported the merchandising tool being rolled-out to most SAP CC markets.
  • Increase in overall sales, conversion rates and higher engagement metrics, indicating that customers are finding products of interest more easily across Miele own webshops.
  • Established effective communication and collaboration channels within the eCommerce team and with cross-functional partners.

Key metrics for position:

  • Key performance indicators such as revenue, conversion rate, average order value, add-to-cart-rate and product findability metrics.
  • Identification and analysis of top-performing products.
  • Feedback from key stakeholders.

Your day-to-day job

  • Manage product listings and ensure accurate, engaging descriptions, specifications, and high-quality images.
  • Be on top of the results of the merchandising activities. Track product and category performance using Google Analytics and third-party merchandising tool.
  • Monitor product placement and optimize categories, filters, and search results to improve findability.
  • Assist in the implementation of online merchandising strategies that align with marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Ensure products are prominently displayed during key promotional periods (e.g., seasonal campaigns, product launches).
  • Use data to adjust product positioning, update stock levels, and improve conversion rates.
  • Conduct A/B testing to improve click-through rates, customer engagement, and conversion.
  • Work closely with Sr. Online Merchandiser to ensure that merchandising activities are aligned with brand guidelines and overall company objectives.
  • Become an expert in using Bloomreach discovery tool.
  • Proactively identify market specific opportunities that can be shared and exploited within the eCommerce team.
  • Create and monitor automated ranking rules (per market) with the help of the search and merchandising tool.

We are looking for

  • 3-5 years of experience in eCommerce or retail merchandising, ideally with experience in managing large complex product.
  • Strong understanding of digital merchandising, product positioning, and online customer behavior.
  • Proficiency with eCommerce platforms and analytics tools such as GA and Power BI.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Analytical mindset and experience using data to make business decisions.
