Miele X is growing fast and because of that we are looking for a QA Engineer! As a new member, reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance, you are going to be part of the Quality Assurance team, embedded within one of our product teams. You will be responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and implementing automated tests for Miele’s eCommerce solutions globally. At this role you will also support the Head of Quality Assurance with setting up the testing strategy and the architecture, technically coach and guide the team without direct reporting and ensure smooth migration to MACH environment.  

We are offering you the opportunity to work with the following technologies: Jira, Cypress, Cucumber, BrowserStack, Zephyr, Javascript, Gitlab, Opentext, K6 & Jmeter. 

Your day-to-day job

  • Help define and refine the testing architecture, based on the roadmap of the Digital Commerce IT domain. 
  • Design and set up complex e2e test scenarios to simulate various environments involving many varied systems. 
  • Support projects with hands-on test automation tasks and in-sprint testing. 
  • Identify, own and drive improvements in current test processes with a focus on increasing efficiency and effectivity. 
  • Be an active participant in delivering the roadmap for test automation and help drive milestones and priorities. 
  • Drive the test requirements for CI/CD and help to implement continuous testing, continuous delivery. 
  • Evangelize test automation best practices to the entire organization and bring a strong QA mindset to the teams.

We are looking for

  • At least 8–10 years of experience with testing, test automation and software development, with most of those spent in an eCommerce environment. 
  • Experience of testing microservices and API’s in a MACH architecture.  
  • Experience with test driven development (TDD) and behavioural driven development (BDD). 
  • Experience with testing Java applications in an Agile context with CI (continues integration) /CD (continuous deployment).
