The Frontend Engineer is responsible for implementing the digital brand face to the customer. The role is executing the integration of front-end code and technologies for websites and online shops. By adhering to global coding standards, this role is focusing on ensuring effective communication through websites on a global scale. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of front-end technologies and can implement a seamless user experience.

Your day-to-day job

  • Create the best-in-class frontend development for the global Miele websites and online shops with strong attention to detail and understanding of frontend technologies. 
  • Develop and revise frontend code to steer Miele’s website performance.
  • Work with external partners to ensure efficient delivery of frontend components and their implementation in the CMS.
  • Optimize comprehensive coding, review and documentation processes across all websites and teams.
  • Propose new technologies to be integrated in our frontend technology stack.
  • Participate in project estimates and scope definements; collaborate closely with UX/UI to ensure sufficient implementation of new features.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to increase global website turnover.

We are looking for

  • Ideally university degree in computer science or other relevant fields.
  • In-depth experience of programming in JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Strong professional experience with JavaScript framework and libraries (e.g. Vue.js, React.js, Angular.js).
  • Deep expertise in HTML5, CSS and building mobile, responsive applications.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and working knowledge of DevOps principles.
  • Passion to solve technical problems and develop customer-centric solutions.
  • Ability to work and contribute in a heterogenic team and communicate ideas in fluent English, German is a plus.
