Miele X is growing fast and because of that we are looking for an eCommerce Program Manager! The role is part of the eCommerce Portfolio & Project Management team, and is responsible for the successful delivery of a Program focused on migrating Miele’s Commerce Cloud platform to a decoupled front end. The role is executed alongside project management responsibilities for projects within, and potentially outside, the program.  

The eCommerce Program Manager works alongside Product Managers, other projects managers in the team, the IT team as well as many other stakeholders, to manage, align and steer the projects within the program. 

Your day-to-day job

  • The successful candidate will execute projects within the program, while also keeping an oversight over other projects within the program, ensuring program alignment (resources, timelines, dependencies, impact, etc.) 

Program  Management responsibilities: 

  • Define a viable Program roadmap, which aligns with strategic goals, prioritisation, resourcing and constraints & align roadmap with all key stakeholders.  
  • Define required resourcing and project allocation from project management team for the program.
  • Monitor the progress of roadmap delivery & KPIs across all projects within the program. Run regular connects with all dependent teams to keep aligned on roadmap changes, dependencies, and challenges. Ensure strategic commitment is adhered to at all times and ideally delivery exceeds expectations. 
  • Program manager is able to report the status of all projects within the program at any given time with a reasonable degree of detail and accuracy.  
  • Facilitates delivery for all project managers within the program by coaching, mentoring, supporting decision, joining SteerCos, clearing blockers. 
  • Program manager may act as a deputy project manager during resource absences or otherwise ensures continuity and contingency within the program team.   
  • Program Manager supports lateral communication related to the processes and successes of the program, in alignment with Head of Project Management.  

Project Management responsibilities: 

  • Ensuring the successful execution of projects. Activities include project planning, monitoring the progress of project activities and milestones, managing risks, preventing/clearing blockers, reporting, eliciting and documenting learnings, expectation management, and continuous stakeholder management & communication, and ensuring project documentation is up-to-date.  
  • Some projects may involve a degree of business analysis, gap analysis, feature validation, or running workshops with business and IT to identify, define and document processes and requirements.   
  • You will contribute to achieving Miele X objectives by ensuring projects deliver on their defined goals and success metrics and project KPI performance is measured and reported.

We are looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in a Business or Technology related field of study, required. Professional experience in the implementation and management of software development projects, ideally in the field of digital commerce (from concept phase to international rollouts). 
  • Strong project management competence (agile and hybrid), combined with ability to manage multiple projects at a time. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, ideally in corporate or complex international environments. 
  • Some experience with eCommerce systems, e.g. SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris). Some technical knowledge and ability to orient in a technical conversation would be advantageous.  
  • Ability to garner oversight across a full multi-year program, and influence stakeholders to drive successful delivery 
  • Team orientation and focus on building long term working relationships with colleagues across the organization 
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision.
