Job overview
The UI/UX Designer is responsible for the customer journey and front-end experience of the Miele digital platforms. They are part of the Digital Experience Design team whose mission is to create a premium digital shopping experience that drives sales.
We’re seeking a talented UI Designer with a sharp eye for detail, a passion for crafting intuitive digital interfaces, and a deep understanding of design systems. In this role, you’ll focus on creating visually polished, user-centered designs that are not only beautiful and consistent across our eCommerce platform but also accessible to everyone. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring Miele’s digital experiences to life, ensuring every pixel has purpose and every interaction feels seamless.
Your day-to-day job
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Push the craft of UI design forward, exploring new interaction patterns, motion, and techniques to elevate the end-user experience
Wireframe, design and prototyping high-fidelity user interfaces for our eCommerce platform
Help build and evolve our Design Systems including tokens, components and documentation
Know how to create Accessible user interfaces and brief your designs to out Frontenders
Use your customer-centric creative mindset to review both qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions
Partner with Product Owners on features to continuously optimize the user experience, and collaborate closely with IT to ensure technical feasibility and performance.
Understand mapping of user-flows and best practice interaction patterns

Competencies/Skills for position
Experience within a related field 3+ years’ experience in UI/UX design
Digital design portfolio with eCommerce experience
Foundational experience working for a premium brand in consumer or FMCG industry
Experienced in agile ways of working
International mindset, and fluent business English
Excellent prototyping and design skills and a deep understanding of new software/web technologies
Have a customer-centric creative mindset and can review both qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions
